About the event

Handling the emotional side of a consultation can be challenging as a nutrition professional, and it's rarely taught alongside the clinical knowledge. This session breaks down how to respond with confidence when things get emotionally difficult in a client consultation.


In this session with Registered Nutritionist Lucy Jones, you'll cover:

●      How to respond when a client becomes emotional - crying, shame, hopelessness - without freezing or rushing to fix it

●      Active listening and reflective techniques that build trust faster than advice does

●      Knowing the difference between empathy and carrying a client's emotional load home with you

●      How to use all of the above to know when to hold space, and when to refer a client on

 

About Lucy Jones

Lucy Jones is an award winning Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) with Harley Street experience, and a first class degree in nutrition, and has been providing support both online and in person since 2021. Lucy works with women through the hormonal journey of the menopause transition, supporting them to lose unwanted fat in a sustainable, non-restrictive way, helping them to view food as nourishment rather than something to be feared. Lucy is also the founder of The Freelance Nutritionist Collective.
