Homemade Smoky Baked Beans

Sometimes you just can't beat the classics, and for me, beans on toast feels like a real comfort food. Why not step up your baked beans game by making your own? It's super simple - just 5 ingredients, and 15 minutes of your time. Trust me - homemade baked beans are a game changer!


Serves 2

Ingredients

  • Olive oil

  • 1tsp grated garlic

  • 1 tin cannellini beans, drained

  • 2-3tsp smoked paprika

  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes


Serve on wholemeal, rye or seeded bread



Recipe

  1. Over a medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil to a medium size pan.

  2. Once hot, add the grated garlic, cannellini beans and smoked paprika to the pan, and mix to combine.

  3. Add the chopped tomatoes and mix everything together.

  4. Reduce over a medium heat for 10 minutes, until slightly thickened.

  5. Serve on toast.
